All profits from this tournament will be used for

HBAAA projects

 1st place 50% of registration monies--$25,000*

2nd place 15% of registration monies---$7,500*

3rd place 10% of registration monies----$5,000*

*PAYOFF BASED ON 100 ENTRIES

 The HAMMOND BAY AREA ANGLERS GREAT LAKES FISHING TOURNAMENT is open to all anglers.

 The entry fee for this one day tournament will be $500 per boat with a limit of 4 anglers, including the Captain.

All Tournament activities will be at the Rogers City Small Boat Harbor located in Rogers City, Michigan.

ALL TOURNAMENT PARTICIPANTS ARE INVITED TO A PIG ROAST IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING WEIGH IN AT THE Rogers City Small Boat HARBOR ON SATURDAY July 25, 2009

The Pig Roast will be served from 3:00-6:30 P.M.

to the public at a cost of $10.00 per meal (takeouts available).

Non alcoholic beverages for sale on site.

TOURNAMENT RULES

 1.  Fishing will be for one day (Saturday, July 25, 2009) from the Rogers City Small Boat Harbor.  Boat inspections will begin at 4:00 A.M.  Boats will be released from the Harbor in order of registration.  All boats shall be back inside the Rogers City Small Boat Harbor break wall by 2:00 P.M.  (In case of inclement weather, the alternate fishing day will be Sunday, July 26, 2009.  In case of inclement weather on Sunday, prizes will be determined by drawing from the registered boat Captains.)  Inclement weather shall be defined as the posting of a “SMALL CRAFT WARNING” by the U.S. Coast Guard for Northern Lake Huron.

2.  Boat Registration materials and the latest Tournament updates will be available at the Rogers City Small Boat Harbor on Friday, July 24, 2009 between 12:00 noon and 4:00 P.M. or will be presented to the Boat Captain at the time of Boat inspection.  (No Captain’s Meeting)

3.  There are no tournament boundaries.

4.  Channel 07 is the official tournament channel and all boats must have an operating VHF Marine radio.

5.  All tournament participants are expected to follow Michigan DNR rules and regulations.  Tournament officials reserve the right to disqualify any participant or boat for unsportsmanlike behavior, drunk or disorderly conduct, or inappropriate language.

6.  The winner of this Tournament will be the boat with the greatest total weight of a one man one day limit of Great Lakes Salmon and/or Trout.  A total of five fish, chosen by the Captain or his designee, will be weighed for each boat.

7.  Prizes will be awarded immediately following the completion of the weigh-in.  Prize monies will be presented to the Boat Captain.

8.  In the event of a tie in weights, the winner will be determined by the largest single fish.

9. No boat may come in direct physical contact with the shore or another boat.  Physical contact with the shore or another boat during fishing hours will result in disqualification unless tournament officials determine that there is an emergency.

10.  Protests must be accompanied by a $250 cash deposit and must be registered in writing to tournament officials no later than 5 minutes after the last fish is weighed-in.  If the protest is upheld the deposit is refunded, if the protest is not upheld the deposit is forfeited.

11.  Registrations should be received by Monday, July 20, 2009.   Late registrations will be accepted from 12:00 noon until 4:00 P.M. Friday, July 24, 2009 at the Rogers City Small Boat Harbor.  There will be a 10% late registration fee.

12.  Withdrawal from the Tournament with 50% refund must be received by Tournament Officials by Monday, July 20, 2009. 

13.  All tournament participants must have a signed Tournament Participant Agreement on file with Tournament Officials prior to fishing.  Participant Agreement Forms will be available Friday afternoon, July 24 or at Boat Inspection on July 25.
